Moodmetric - Master Your Mind
Moodmetric provides wearable technology for emotional wellbeing. The Moodmetric ring is the simplest tool to measure stress and other cognitive load
Finland, May 21, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Moodmetric Ring is an accurate yet stylish biosensor that can just be worn. There are no buttons, triggers or surface to swipe. The emotion feedback is seen on smartphone when convenient, and the important live screen follow-up is also available.
The Moodmetric Ring tracks emotional intensity which is high when the wearer is e.g. stressed, anxious or excited. Intensity is low when the mind is calm. The tracking over time gives an overview of emotional changes and makes it possible to analyse reasons behind.
Moodmetric technology is designed to support personal emotional growth. It can also be used by organizations and research units to measure emotional reactions and cognitive load.
The Moodmetric Ring is a biosensor measuring electrodermal activity (EDA). The combined smartphone appshows the tracked data as an easy-to-read interpretation of the wearer´s emotional intensity.
The Moodmetric technology helps people to manage stress with measurable data. Understanding what causes high emotional levels and what are the calming factors in life helps the wearer to find balance between them. The intensity level changes throughout the day can be monitored and times of highest stress pointed out. An included Practice feature gives score on e.g. a meditation exercise.

FIND THE BALANCE BETWEEN WORK AND FREE TIME – EXCITEMENT, STRESS AND RECOVERY ARE ALL PART OF A GOOD LIFE
Stress is a natural reaction to a situation that requires adaptation. Right amount of stress keeps us active, motivated and enthusiastic. Demands of work, family, hobbies and activities sum up to a big load that can go unnoticed. The body does not know whether stress is positive or negative, also a dream job can wear out.
THE MOODMETRIC MEASUREMENT TELLS HOW WELL YOU REACH BALANCE
Measured value on a given moment is not important. Both high and low stress levels belong to each day.
On a long run the most important is balance.
The Moodmetric app offers a real-time view, diary and analytics to support stress management.
The most important is one figure: the daily average number tells how well the both parts of the autonomous nervous system are in balance. (Read more about the Moodmetric index and the autonomous nervous system in our article series.)
Levels way above 50 mean that the stress load is higher than achieved recovery. The Moodmetric level of about 50 tells of a normal situation: the rest during the day and the sleep at night compensates positive and negative stress. Very low daily average levels are not usual. They might tell of depression.
